
The light-duty GMC Sierra entered the new chapter for the 2019 model year. The Sierra 1500 is the all-new model. It brings new styling, roomier cabins, new electronics and also some innovations. The new truck is also larger in all direction but also lighter and offers three engine options with the 10-speed automatic transmission. GMC said that new Sierra will initially go on sale in two top-tier trims. However, Sierra fans who like to drive their trucks behind the pavement will also have the version with the special purpose.
What was expected as the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain is the off-road equipped version and equivalent of the Silverado Trail Boos. However, GMC actually established the new sub-brand the AT4 what means All Terrain 4-wheel drive. GMC promises AT4-badged version of each vehicle in its lineup in the future. In the case of the Sierra AT4, it means additional off-road capability combined with refined styling.

What we expected as the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain will carry the AT4 badge and refined, monochromatic styling. The black-themed AT4 has the silhouette of the genuine Sierra 1500 but it adds visual cues which improve its visual identity but also uses some functional design elements.
The AT4 uses body color finished bumpers and the grille. The attractive C-shaped LED lighting signature contrasting with the exterior black theme. The model also applies black chrome finish to the fog light bezels, window trim, and mirror caps. The red hooks in the front bumper also make it distinctive as well as the standard 18-inch dark finish, all-terrain tires wheels.
The available upgrade comes in the form of the 20-inch machined wheels with the all-terrain tires.
Interior:
Interior of the model also gets the dark theme treatment. The interior uses dark-tinted and textured aluminum elements on the sill plates, center stack and the steering wheel. The Jet Black/Kalahari accents and attractive stitching also improves the interior feel. The model also includes leather covered seats and AT4 logos on the headrests.
Equipment:
The Sierra AT4 comes with the MultiPro tailgate with the six functions and positions. The model also offers the carbon fiber cargo box which weighs less and is also more resistant. The All-Terrain Sierra can also upgrade with the head-up display, surround vision and pedestrian and low-speed braking.
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain: Performance
The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain will have all engine options on the disposal. The standard combination on the model is a proven 5.3-liter V-8 and the 10-speed automatic transmission. A mightier 6.3-liter V-8 will be the other gas option. The new 3.0-liter turbodiesel Duramax V-6 can also be found under the hood of the AT4.
The model will also upgrade with the two additional inches of the ground clearance. It also carries the front skid plate. The 4-wheel drive is also standard with the two-speed transfer case and locking rear differential.
