The all-new Sierra 1500 is here and the new version puts the capability, strength, premium design and sophistication to the new levels. The bolder styling comes with the new proportions, more comfortable cabin, new technologies and utility features and upgraded powertrains including the diesel-powered version. The new half-ton Sierra is again available in multiple body styles and trim options but the top-tier 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali is the synonym for the refinement and capability at the same time.

The Sierra Denali again stands out with the shiny exterior, premium interior but also offer the most of the improvements in the technology and functionality. This version now comes with the carbon fiber bed option and standard MultiPro tailgate.

The redesigned Sierra 1500 starts the transformation with strengthened underpinning and also comes with larger dimensions in all directions. The new light-duty Sierra is taller and also rides on longer and wider wheelbase. The model has, however, shorter overhangs but is also longer overall. The interior is also more comfortable and offers 3-inches improved rear legroom in the crew-cab model.

From the outer perspective, the model has a stronger presence and more modern styling elements. The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali shines more than other variants thanks to more chrome elements. The new grille is bigger and with curvier outlines. The Denali version has the chromed version and all LED lighting units. The new headlights and taillights look more modern and include attractive “light blade” graphic.

The Sierra Denali also includes the fog lights and come on the standard 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. Buyers can upgrade to the 22-inch ultra-bright aluminum rollers.

The Denali version also comes with MultiPro tailgate which operates with six different positions and functions. The option on the Denali is the industry first carbon fiber bed which has inner panels and the bottom made of the carbon fiber. So called the CarbonPro box is also 62 pounds lighter than the steel version.

Cabin and Equipment:

Inside the cabin, the Sierra Denali has more comfort and commanding driving position. The rear seatbacks offer useful storage spaces. The Denali uses Forge leather seating with contrasting stitching. Open-pore wood and dark-finish aluminum trim pieces also add to the interior premium quality.

The truck also comes loaded with the top-notch electronic features. The Denali trim includes Multi-Color Head-up Display. The latest IntelliLink infotainment system supports smartphone features and boasts better response. The model has the 8-inch center display and standard navigation. The model also uses the surround vision and new trailering technologies.

The active safety features are also present including lane keep assist, lane departure warning, low-speed forward automatic braking, lane change alert, front and rear parking assist, etc.

The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali will come with three engine options and new transmission system. The duo of familiar V-8 engines will again be available but they come in the upgraded form. The base 5.3-liter and 6.3-liter V-8 exploit the stop/start technology to save the fuel on the stops. The Dynamic Fuel management system upgrades over the previous Active Fuel Management system and runs the engine with any number of cylinders depending on the need in order to provide the best blend of the power and efficiency.

Later in the model year, the Sierra 1500 will also be available with the 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine. The new 10-speed automatic transmission will also boost the performance and efficiency. The Denali models also use Adaptive Ride Control suspension system for better ride and handling.

2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali: Arrival, Price

The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali and SLT versions will debut first this fall. The price and more details will emerge closer to the launch date.
