The Nissan Titian XD is a unique offering in the pickup truck market as this model splits the difference between the light-duty and heavy-duty models. The Titan model falls in the light-duty category and the XD improves the towing capability while costs less than the heavy-duty models. The Titan XD arrived heavily redesigned for the 2016 model year and can be had in the variety of options and with the capable V-8 engines. The model also offers special edition versions plus can be luxury equipped and armed with the off-road hardware.

The model received a few updates of for the 2018 version and Nissan still keeps the details about the 2019 Nissan Titan XD from the public. The firm announced, however, the factory suspension lift kit for both Titian models but hasn’t promised more upgrades. More will likely happen for the Titan XD for the 2020 model year when the mid-update is expected. The upcoming version will likely keep the current powertrains and design while will upgrade the equipment range and add several new features.

As the things now stand, there won’t be a major difference on the styling of the upcoming 2019 Nissan Titan XD. The Titian XD look capable as it is actually and comes with the unique treatment in each version.

The announced factory kit will upgrade model’s suspension but the changes will also have the effect on the appearance. A more aggressive appearance will be achieved with the increased ride height and wheel travel. Plus, few exterior touches will further distinguish this version.

The familiar grille shape will remain but the grille surround and finish will change depending on the trim version. The base trim will start with the 17-inch wheels and the black treatment on the grille and bumpers. The wheels will grow in the off-road Pro-4X version and come with all-terrain tires while the top-tier models will ride on the 20-inch wheels. The more luxuriously equipped versions will also have more chrome work on the exterior.


The interior of the Titian XD is well designed and the material quality is also competitive. The placing of controls is also well done and drivers can use them easily. The model also has plenty of room in all directions and high driving position.

For the new model year, there won’t be radical interior improvements. The firm will offer more features in lower trims and add new textures. Upgraded electrons should also appear.

Options, equipment:

The Titian XD will return in three cab styles and two bed lengths. The trim options will offer the off-road equipped version and luxury appointed variants.

The base version will use cloth and vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, smaller center screen, six speakers, etc. Upgraded controls and upholstery plus power features and satellite radio will appear in the next trim. The Pro-4X will improve with the off-road hardware, dual-zone climate control, larger center screen, etc. More chrome and wood trim will appear in the upper grades plus the premium leather upholstery, heated and cooled seats, surround view system, etc.

The engine options will return in the same order in the 2019 Nissan Titan XD. The 5.6-liter V-8 gas-powered mill makes 390 hp and torque of 395 pound-feet. The turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 diesel will improve the towing capability. The current version provides 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. The two and four-wheel drive options will be available. The model will tow more than 12, 000 lbs in the most capable version.

The mentioned suspension lift kit is the bolt-on design, so no cutting or drilling. It brings an increased ground clearance and up to three inches of the suspension lift.  The upgrade improves the wheel articulation and damping which will enhance both the on- and off-road ride quality. The kit will be available on the crew cab 4×4 Titian XD models.
