2020 Nissan Titan Warrior: Rumors, Design, Release

2020 Nissan Titan Warrior

Nissan’s full-size Titan trucks are faced now with the recently upgraded models from the Detroit-based brands which are selling in much higher numbers than Titan models. Actually, the full-size Titian is outsold by the ancient, mid-size Frontier which should, however, be close to the new generation launch. Nissan is also expected to give some upgrades to the Titan models which entered the current generation in 2016.

However, the rumors are circulating that Nissan has more in a plan for the next version Titan and the brand might launch the high-performance 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior model. The popularity of the off-road-focused versions is growing and despite Nissan offers the off-road-ready Pro 4X version with the new more capable Warrior model, the brand could get more attention. Still, there is no confirmation or hints from Nissan about the launch of the Titan Warrior but Nissan hasn’t rejected the claims either.

2020 Nissan Titan Warrior: Design

The next Nissan Titan and Titan XD should come with some visual and interior upgrades as the part of the mid-cycle update but some sources suggest the addition of the new Warrior version. The prototype model with unique styling and features which would hint the arrival of the 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior hasn’t been spotted on the road to support the claims and the extreme Nissan Titan XD-based model could just be the matter of speculations.

Still, if the Warrior hits the market, the reports suggest a more rugged and unique appearance of the model with the styling bits from the 2016 Nissan Warrior Concept model.  A more aggressive look of the model should be formed with the beefed-up fenders, knobby off-road tires, unique dark-finished grille version, lifted ride height, skid plates and special trim inserts. The model should come in the four-door cab form and with a wider track than the conventional Titan XD.

Interior, equipment:

The interior of the model should also get special treatment if the model arrives. The difference will make the sports seats with durable and unique upholstery.  The carbon fiber, chrome, leather and contracting accents should also define the interior of the rumored Warrior version.

With the unique interior design, a specially-trimmed Nissan XD would also get the latest tech features. Nissan introduced recently Apple Car Play and Android Auto support to its truck segment and the Warrior would be equipped with the brand’s latest infotainment platform. The Warrior should include navigation, a premium sound system and some high comfort features.

2020 Nissan Titan Warrior: Powertrain

If the 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior hits the market, there shouldn’t be surprises regarding the engine option. Nissan would likely use a capable and trusty 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V-8 engine, although some performance upgrades are possible compared to the current version.  The Nissan Titan XD gets 310 hp and torque of 555 lb-ft from the current-form turbodiesel V-8.

Adding to the off-road performance of the model should be the upgraded underpinning and suspension components. The performance shocks, locking differential, upgraded axle and sway bar, underbody protection and improved approach and departure angles should boost the off-road capability of the model.

2020 Nissan Titan Warrior: Release, Price

The Nissan XD Warrior Concept-like production version would be a great addition to the model’s range but there is not enough proof that brand is even considering such option. The rumors suggest, however, a possible debut of the 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior late in the year and the price could be in the mid-$50, 000 range.
