
For the 2019 model year, the Ram 1500 is all-new. The light-duty Ram changes the way it looks and how it handles the passengers and towing. This version has full-size rear doors. The Regular Cab style will appear later.
2019 Ram 1500 Mega Cab: Design
The new generation 2019 Ram 1500 Mega Cab is stronger than ever. The truck uses the new frame, stronger and lighter and engendered with additional safety measures. The high-tensile steel makes the 98 percent of frames structure and the truck is 225 pounds lighter while can tow more.
Styling:
The Mega Cab version has four full-size doors and the new truck also wears radically different styling. The Ram is also longer and more comfortable for the new model year. The crew cab version is 3.9 inches longer and it improves from the current version 40.3 inches of the rear legroom to impressive 45.2 inches.
Equipment:
When it comes to the equipment the Ram improves in all aspects. The model continues with the coil spring suspension and the base model uses 18-inch steel wheels, vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, rearview camera, Uconnect system with 5-inch screen etc.
In upper grades, buyers can upgrade with the bigger gas tank, dual-panel moonroof, power tailgate, 22-inch wheels, deployable steps, etc. One can also get an 8.4-inch display infotainment system version with smartphone support. The new Ram can even better and the massive 12-inch touchscreen is also available. The new Ram also offers leather upholstery, metal, wood and other interior accents, heated seats, memory setting, etc. There is also available with active safety systems such as automatic emergency braking, active lane control, surround-view cameras, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, etc. These systems are available in top three trims.
2019 Ram 1500 Mega Cab: Powertrains
In the engine department, the 2019 Ram 1500 Mega Cab will offer a familiar 5.7-liter V-8 engine. The engine comes with the 8-speed automatic transmission. It exploits variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation. The engine makes 395 hp and 401 pound-feet of torque. However, it can be helped by the 48-Volt mild-hybrid system which provides additional 130 lb-ft of torque.
The base engine is a 3.6-liter V-6. While the V-8 is optional with the eTorque system, the V-6 engine comes with it by default. The engine makes 305 horsepower and torque of 256 lb-ft. The mild-hybrid system assists with 90 lb-ft.
The new Ram comes with both two- and all-wheel drive. The towing maximum is 12, 750 pounds. The diesel engine should also appear later.
