The 2019 model year is definitely the year of the full-size, light-duty pickup trucks. The all-new Ram 1500 went through the radical redesign and General Motors also introduced the new-gen Silverado and Sierra light-duty models. The new Silverado is great but GMC twin makes some things more impressive. The MultiPro tailgate and carbon fiber cargo box are just the new pieces of the puzzle and GMC also introduce new variants like the AT4 off-roader and the new Elevation version.
However, despite the full-sizers stole the show, GM should also offer the refreshed mid-size models for the 2019 model year. The mid-size Canyon should arrive with the refreshed exterior and interior and add the latest electronics. The mechanics could also advance with the new engine option and transmission unit and the off-road version is also the possibility. We will also see the return of the ultra-luxury Denali version and the 2019 GMC Canyon Denali will again be the synonym for the sophistication and refinement.
2019 GMC Canyon Denali: Styling
The upcoming, mid-size Canyon should alter the current styling with the similar modification we already saw on the full-size Sierra. The mid-sizer won’t go with the deep structural upgrades like the larger twin but the soft parts should look similar. The mode should come with the new version of the signature grille and new headlights with the attractive “light blade” signature lighting. The sheet metal will stay in the same form and the bumpers and wheels should also change slightly.
The 2019 GMC Canyon Denali version will build on that with more shiny parts and unique elements. The chrome will appear on the Denali unique grille which should come with the new contours like on the new Sierra. More chrome will be found around the fog lights, windows and more. The model will also build its appearance with 20-inch Ultra-Bright aluminum wheels, Denali badging, polished exhaust tip, etc.
The interior will provide the most of luxury and sophistication. The premium leather upholstery combined with contrasting stitching and brushed aluminum trim provide the luxury feel and look attractive. The improved seat foam combined with the heating and ventilating will improve the comfort.
The Denali version will also provide the best of the in-car technology. It will integrate the newest infotainment system with connectivity options, navigation and the premium sound system. The safety will also include the Driver alert and collision avoidance systems by default.
2019 GMC Canyon Denali: Powertrains
The refreshed GMC could introduce a 2.7-liter turbo-4 engine and the new 10-speed speed automatic gearbox.
The 2019 GMC Canyon Denali should, however, again come with the choice between the Duramax diesel and V-6 engine. A 2.8-liter turbo diesel is now at 181 hp and torque of 369 pound-feet. It could come in the combination with the new transmission. A 3.6-liter V-6 petrol produces 308 horsepower and torque of 275 lb-ft but could be tuned for better performance.
2019 GMC Canyon Denali: Arrival, Price
The 2019 GMC Canyon Denali will hit the market in the last quarter of the year. The price should stay close to the current.
