The global mid-size segment welcomed the refreshed Ford Ranger recently while it made also the return to the US. The model donated the proven platform and some mechanic parts to the luxury Mercedes X-Class and Renault Alaskan while will also be the base of the new-generation Frontier in the US.
Nissan recently introduced the off-road capable N-Guard Special Edition version of the Navara model and presented also the Navara Dark Sky Concept. The current generation Navara, however, arrived in 2014 and the mid-update should coincide with the arrival of the 2020 Nissan Navara and likely with the introduction of the new generation Frontier for the US market. The new 2020 Nissan Navara will not bring radical structural or changes in the shape or size but the refreshed exterior design should appear with the launch of the new version.
Nissan will modernize the front-end styling with the new grill version of its signature V-motion design. The sleeker grille should follow more defined form from the recent SUV models and come in the combination with more modern headlights. The front bumper will also get reshaped surfaces while the profile will keep the lines and shape of the current version.

The interior of the model should raise the stake with the fresh materials and upgraded tech according to the reports. The newest version of the infotainment system will come with upgraded screens and software and connectivity features. New details should also appear on the dash as well as the new interior textures.

2020 Nissan Navara: Performance
The 2020 Nissan Navara will keep the proven platform while sources claim upgraded steering and suspension setup. The result should be the better response while steering and the revised suspension should provide better stability and comfort.
The new Navara will again pack the modern 2.3-liter dCi four-cylinder engine under the hood of most versions but again different options will be available depending on the market. The 2.3-liter diesel will again appear in two versions but with some upgrades likely. No details yet about the performance of the next version engines.
The current single-turbo 2.3L dCi makes 160 hp and 403 Nm of torque. An additional turbo boosts the horsepower to 190 and torque to 450 Nm.
The model should again offer the 7-speed automatic transmission but the six-speed manual should also remain. The Navara will also come with the advanced 4-wheel-drive system and locking differential option to provide the challenging terrain capability. The towing limit will also meet the class top and the payload capacity will be over 1000 kg.

More details about the 2020 Nissan Navara will appear closer to the launch date in the second part of 2019. The price should also increase with the upgrades but the value of the new version will also be known near the launch date.
