The new-generation Ram 1500 storms in the 2019 model year and all-new, half-ton Ram is a completely new story. Lighter and larger in the same time, with improved structure and more refined exterior, the new Ram 1500 also combines the mild-hybrid technology to boost the performance and efficiency while also guarantees greater capability. That is not all from the new Ram as its more comfortable and techier than ever.
However, Ram still has more to offer as the firm confirmed the arrival of the most powerful factory-built light-duty truck ever. Yes, more powerful and capable than the fabled Ford F-150 Raptor.
The Ram Rebel TRX Concept was shown to the public at the 2016 State Fair of Texas and Ram recently confirmed the production version of this model. Ram promises to bring it by the end of 2021 possibly as the 2022 Ram Rebel TRX or even one or two model years earlier.
In any case, the Rebel TRX should use the Hellcat-engine formula combined with the high-speed off-road capability and rugged design. There should also be the Rebel TR version with the 7.0-liter V-8 engine but the Hellact V-8 is the one which will redefine the boundaries in the class.
2022 Ram Rebel TRX: Performance
The Ram Rebel TRX Concept was the fully operational model with the 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine under the hood. The engine was optimized to 575 hp but the production version, 2022 Ram Rebel TRX, could even come with much greater power and torque. Namely, Ram announced the arrival of the new-gen Ram with the picture of the interior with the clock set to 7:07 which might indicate the power of the Hellact engine. The mighty Hellact V-8 already pumps 707 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque in some applications and the light-duty Ram could be the next. Whatever the case, the Rebel TRX should be the most powerful factory-made half-ton truck leaving the 450 hp F-150 Raptor well behind.
However, Ram might also offer another mighty Rebel version called the Rebel TR. This version was reported with the naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V-8. The Banshee codenamed engine should make 520 hp and torque of 525 lb-ft.
For the magic to happen, the mighty engine isn’t enough, and the Ram Rebel TRX should also employ special suspension components. The model should use a custom-made upper and lower A-arms combined with the link coil rear suspension from the desert trucks and internal bypass adjustable coil-over shocks in the front section. The TRX should also have a 40 percent increased wheel travel and custom Mopar wheels with 37-inch all-terrain tires.
The TRX model should also improve the capability with the 4×4 Performance Control System with the BorgWarner transfer case to provide traction over five sorts of terrain.
2022 Ram Rebel TRX: Styling
With the mighty hardware, the 2022 Ram Rebel TRX should also embody the force with the functional and attractive styling. The massive tires and lifted ride height will add to its robust look and serve to the function. The model will also use unique Rebel grille and steel bumpers combined with the underbody protection. It will also have a more powerful hood and attractive black accents on the hood, roof and body.
Inside the cabin, the TRX model should come with the front bucket seats with suede upholstery and mesh accent pattern. The seats should provide the great body support and suede inserts the grip to clothing.
The black theme with the red accent should dominate inside and there should also be Mopar all-weather, black mats and carpet. The TRX logos will also contrast with the blacked upholstery and the model should include the latest infotainment system and strong sound system.
2022 Ram Rebel TRX: Arrival, Price
Ram wasn’t specific with the launch date of the TRX model. The firm promised it by 2022. So, the model could appear as the 2022 Ram Rebel TRX or earlier. It’s hard to predict the price but we would place the bet at around $55, 000.
